COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution

The COVID-19 vaccination process is underway in Marin County and Phase 1A (healthcare workers*) is nearing completion. MarinHealth is working closely with Marin Public Health and our community healthcare partners to formulate an efficient and equitable vaccine roll out.

Vaccines are available to groups in phases that are determined by guidelines from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Your grouping is not determined by your doctor, but by your age, occupation, living situation, and health conditions.

Marin County expects to begin Phase 1B the week of January 18 - this will include individuals ages 65+, and frontline essential workers (foodservice, teachers, etc.). We will offer vaccinations to eligible MarinHealth Medical Network patients as soon as possible. The exact timing is based on vaccine distribution from the State of California. There is no waiting list or advance sign-up list right now. Please do not contact your doctor’s office at this time.

We will notify our patientsas soon as information is available about how and where you can receive the vaccine.

We appreciate your patience and encourage you to subscribe to Marin Public Health’s daily updates for the latest vaccine information. Please continue to take precautions against COVID-19 infections:

  • Wear a mask
  • Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly
  • Maintain physical distance from others when in public (even outside)
  • Don’t gather with anyone outside of your immediate household

* Marin County Healthcare workers who are eligible for a vaccine and have not yet received an initial dose can register for an appointment.
