Vascular Surgery
MarinHealth has the only comprehensive Vascular Surgery Program in Marin County. Our robust program takes a holistic approach to the treatment of vascular disease, including prevention and the evaluation and management of risk factors. Treatment plans are tailored to an individual’s health, age, and lifestyle. Some conditions can be treated by either an Interventional cardiologist or a vascular surgeon.
We routinely screen patients for several common conditions:
- Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD)
- Heart Disease, Stroke, and Heart Attack
- Aneurysms
Conditions Treated
- Aortic aneurysm

Our Team
Our multidisciplinary team is remarkably collaborative. Vascular surgery,
interventional radiology, and interventional cardiology specialists hold
monthly interdisciplinary case conferences. Our interventional and vascular
teams work together to perform innovative multidisciplinary procedures.
Depending on what's best for the patient, we can operate traditionally
through open surgery, endovascularly using catheters, or through a hybrid
combination of techniques. A limb salvage procedure at MarinHealth may
include the participation of specialists in vascular surgery, wound care,
infectious disease, plastic surgery, and podiatry.
Vascular Ultrasound Lab
We have two full-time ultrasonographers and an in-house 256-slice CT scanner that allows us to provide the best in non-invasive diagnostic imaging. We offer the latest, most advanced open and endovascular technologies.
