Preparing for Surgery
There are a few steps you need to take ahead of time, to prepare for surgery. Various tests may be ordered to determine whether cancer has spread out of the prostate to the bone or to the lymph nodes. You will need to see your primary care doctor for a history and physical examination before surgery. Additional preparatory measures will also need to be taken. View a comprehensive list of surgical preparation instructions.
