Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase II

This phase was designed for individuals who have suffered a heart attack or have stable angina and for patients recovering from angioplasty, cardiac surgery, or the implantation of a coronary stent. Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase II consists of medically supervised, heart-rhythm-monitored, progressive exercise. One-hour classes are offered Monday through Friday, 9:45 am to 5:00 pm.

Duration: 36 sessions

Attendance: Participation recommendations vary per person based on a health assessment done by the Cardiac Rehab team. Patients may partake in the 2 or 3 days per week sessions, schedule as follows:

  • 3 days/week Monday, Wednesday, Friday for one-hour sessions
  • 2 days/week Tuesday, Thursday for one-hour sessions

Fee: Based on insurance coverage

Phase II Schedule

Patients have the option of attending the Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease® instead of Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase II. It is also available as an alternative to Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase III.
