Marin General Hospital Joins U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association

Award-winning provider of health care services in Marin County, CA to provide medical support for USSA’s athletes

GREENBRAE, CA — The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association has announced the addition of Marin General Hospital, an award-winning independent provider of health care services in Greenbrae, CA., to its medical pool as an official medical provider of the U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Snowboarding and U.S. Freeskiing.

As part of USSA’s medical pool, Marin General Hospital will provide medical support for athletes in the Marin County area as well as serve as a resource for current team physicians. Dr. David Goltz, orthopedic surgeon, head team physician of the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team, and resident of Marin, has performed procedures on multiple athletes at Marin General Hospital and very much looks forward to the partnership.

“Marin General Hospital is honored to be affiliated with USSA’s regional medical sponsorship program,” said Dr. Goltz. “By participating in this program, we are ensuring that all of our athletes have access to the very best quality and consistent care available in the prevention and treatment of sports injuries.”

The USSA’s regional medical sponsorship program includes hospitals, physical therapy clinics and medical clinics around the country. These sponsorships currently supply extensive physical therapy and athletic trainer support to the rotational pool, sports medicine supplies, expedited medical services and athlete injury rehabilitation. Most of all, they provide seamless continuity of care for USSA athletes, optimizing proper medical management as well as assisting the USSA with managing expenses associated with medical services.
