Thato Y. Brumwell, MD

Dr. Thato Brumwell is a general internist who focuses exclusively on hospital medicine. She enjoy the challenges and rewards that go along with supporting patients and their families through acute medical illness. Hospitalist work requires skillful collaboration, excellent communication skills, careful judgement, and the ability to analyze a large quantity of data efficiently and accurately. She work closely with nursing staff and physician consultants in an effort to restore patients to health. When perfect health proves elusive, Dr. Brumwell offers support, education, and guidance in order to help patients and families understand available treatment options and clarify goals of medical care. As intense as hospital medicine can be at times, it is always stimulating, engaging, and gratifying.

Away from work, she enjoys travel, hiking, yoga, and time with her family.
