Dr. Seung Seol’s approach to radiation oncology is grounded in combining academic rigor, thoughtful communication, and compassionate patient-centered care. With her background spanning medicine, psychology, and clinical research, Dr. Seol is dedicated to helping patients navigate complex cancer diagnoses with clarity, evidence-based treatment, and genuine human connection.

Originally from South Korea, Dr. Seol earned degrees in sociology and clinical psychology before pursuing medicine, then earned her medical degree at Gachon University and PhD in Medicine at Sungkyunkwan University. After coming to the United States, she received her radiation oncology training at Northwestern University, where she also served as chief resident. Prior to joining Marin Cancer Care/MarinHealth, Dr. Seol served as Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.

Dr. Seol was drawn back to the Bay Area by family ties, as well as her desire to practice in a close-knit community setting. Now living in Marin with her family, she especially values the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the region. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and traveling.
