Ray Brindley, MD

Dr. Ray Brindley joined the Marin Hospitalist Medical Group in 1999 and is their longest standing member. Though his early education had involved medical research, he later chose hospital medicine, which was a new field at the time, for the opportunity it gives to help others in times of crisis. Having seen hospital medicine evolve over the years, Dr. Brindley has become particularly interested in the issues of maintaining hospital safety and in understanding the patient experience of hospitalization.

When the busy life of medicine allows, Dr. Brindley spends his time with music. His family were musicians in the South, and he continues to perform on stages in Marin and more broadly in the Bay Area. Marin’s musical legacy is one of its great attractions, and he is fortunate to have this outlet for seeking balance with his career.
