Priscilla Joy S. Navarro, MD

Dr. Joy Navarro likes to think I try to live up to her name. Dr. Navarro wanted to be a doctor since she was young. As a child, it was about wanting to help other people. When she was at school and in training, she realized that she liked learning, particularly about science and medicine. As Dr. Navarro grew into my profession, it became more than that: the more she interacted with patients, the more she realized that managing their illnesses is just part of the treatment. She genuinely enjoys spending time with her patients and learning about their lives. Knowing that she brings them a measure of comfort during their recovery brings her joy.

Dr. Navarro loves the outdoors, and enjoys walking her dogs, biking and exploring the woods and trails here in Marin. When she has time off, she enjoys exploring the world at large, and she spends most of my vacations traveling, taking pictures, having new experiences. A beach bum at heart, her restless feet are always soothed by a swim and a quiet moment by the beach.
