Dr. Michael J. Oechsel has been practicing as a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in Marin for over 33 years. He has served as Chief of Surgery and Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at MarinHealth Medical Center (formerly Marin General Hospital). Dr. Oechsel believes in the non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and aids many patients can achieve optimal results with this approach. At the same time, he utilizes up-to-date surgical techniques when surgery is necessary. He believes in keeping his patients well informed about their diagnoses and encourages his patient’s participation in their own care.
