Hunter Bohlen, MD,MBA

Dr. Bohlen is a UCSF orthopedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of complex traumatic injuries of the extremities, hip, and pelvis. He brings specialized expertise in the surgical management and reconstruction of complex fractures, including injuries involving the elbow, shoulder, hip, and pelvis/acetabulum. His knowledge of fracture fixation biomechanics and advanced surgical reconstruction allows him to address challenging injuries with a focus on restoring stability, function, and mobility.

Dr. Bohlen recognizes that every injury—and every patient—is different. He takes an individualized, evidence-based approach to treatment, carefully considering each patient’s injury, functional goals, and recovery needs.
