Carly Bravo, CNM

Carolyn (Carly) Hwang is a San Francisco Bay Area Native. She received her master degree from Yale University. Prior to joining Prima, she worked in New York City at NYU Medical Center. She is delighted to be back on the West Coast, and working in beautiful Marin County.

Carly recognizes that the transformation to parenthood is much more than simply the birth alone. She enjoys working with women and their families to have an integrated, and empowered pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. Carly believes in shared decision making, recognizing that while she has formal training in Midwifery, the people she cares for are the experts in their own bodies and their own specific physical, emotional, and informational needs. 

In addition to being a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, Carly has completed further studies to become a Certified Lactation Counselor, and can offer guidance for the breast feeding mother.

Carly lives in San Francisco, with her partner. She enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, cooking, hiking, yoga, and reading. She also loves a day time dance party.
