Dr. Akash A. Shah is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon with expertise in both complex and minimally invasive spine procedures. Guided by a philosophy of compassionate, individualized care, he emphasizes non-operative treatments whenever possible, with the goal of restoring function, relieving pain, and improving quality of life for his patients.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Shah is a dedicated researcher who has developed innovative, machine learning-driven tools to enhance outcomes after spine surgery. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in leading medical journals.

A California native, Dr. Shah enjoys hiking, cooking, and discovering new restaurants with his wife. He looks forward to exploring the Bay Area’s natural beauty and vibrant food scene.
