Adrian M. Fernandez, MD

Dr. Adrian Fernandez grew up in San Francisco and spent much of his time upside down as a competitive gymnast. Dr. Fernandez earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Stanford University, where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa society. He discovered his calling to urology in medical school at UCSF. Dr. Fernandez was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society upon graduation, then pursued residency at UCSF.

In residency, Dr. Fernandez developed surgical expertise managing cancers and benign conditions of the urinary and male reproductive tracts. He dedicated a year to research and authored many original articles on a range of urologic problems - sexual dysfunction, prostate cancer, urinary stone disease, and ebike-related trauma. His work was featured in JAMA Network journals and garnered national media attention.

Dr. Fernandez approaches patient care with a compassionate, patient-centered philosophy, focusing on evidence-based treatments to achieve the best outcomes. He connects with patients in English and Spanish. Outside his practice, Dr. Fernandez loves to spend time outdoors or in the kitchen with his family.
