Marin General Hospital Foundation’s annual black-tie gala, Under the Sea, was held on Saturday, May 14, 2016, in Corte Madera.

Marin General Hospital Foundation’s annual black-tie gala, Under the Sea, was held on Saturday, May 14, 2016, in an exquisite tented venue in Corte Madera. The event went swimmingly! Gala Chairs, Sally Shekou and Bob Herbst, together with 550 hospital supporters enjoyed an elegant dinner prepared by Taste Catering and danced to the music of two dueling DJ’s. Gross proceeds tallying over $700,000 were raised for the Braden Diabetes Center (BDC) at Marin General Hospital.

The evening included special acknowledgment of Bruce Braden, MGH Foundation Board Member, for his generosity and dedication to championing the very best diabetic care for our community. Linda Gaudiani, MD, Medical Director and co-founder of the Braden Diabetes Center was also honored for 30 years of dedicated service to her patients.

The Braden Diabetes Center provides the tools and techniques to help patients live a healthier life with diabetes. The program is structured to help patients understand diabetes, make healthy choices, and learn how to confidently manage their blood sugar in any situation. BDC provides outpatient care, self-management education programs, and support for those with a type 1 or type 2 diabetes diagnosis, gestational diabetes, or pre-diabetes. We are so grateful for the support of our community!
