Geralyn da Silva has specialized in diabetes education for the last 20 years. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, quality care and support for persons with type 1, type 2, Gestational Diabetes and their families.

Born and raised in San Francisco, she received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing and her Public Health Nurse Certificate from San Francisco State University. Her areas of nursing practice have included cardiac, maternity, home health and hospice care.

Her focus on education, personal interaction, and individualized choices for patients has been her trademark. After becoming a Certified Diabetes Educator she developed the Sutter Amador Outpatient Diabetes Education Program and served as program coordinator for 17 years in Jackson, Ca. She has been active in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Walk to Cure Diabetes, Diabetes Camps, and the American Diabetes Association.

Geralyn enjoys fresh air and walking in urban and rural areas. Her time spent with family and friends is treasured, and she supports local boards and community groups in her spare time.

She looks forward to contributing to the excitement and growth of the Braden Diabetes Center.
