About Provider

Claire Dodds' experience spans acute, home-based and public health arenas. She has worked as an emergency medical technician, advocate for battered women, research assistant for anti-smoking initiatives, UCSF staff nurse and clinical instructor. For 9 years she served as a hospice and palliative nurse in both urban and frontier regions. In 2005 she established a performance improvement process for Grahamstown Hospice in South Africa.

As an acute care nurse practitioner Claire has worked with cardiac surgery patients at both Beaumont Hospital in Michigan and the University of California San Francisco. In her practice Claire seeks to reduce suffering and optimize the well-being of the patient and family. The capacity for hope and healing, Claire has found, can be undiminished by disease.

In her time off Claire and her golden retriever explore the fire roads of Marin County.
