The New Father

This class gives the father-to-be practical information aimed at increasing self-confidence in handling the newborn and gaining insight into new baby behavior.

Facilitated by Pediatrician, Michael Yamaguchi, MD, this casual open environment fosters discussions regarding changing roles, work/family balance and other challenges a new dad may experience. The class covers hands-on skills such as changing a diaper, soothing an infant, interpreting a baby’s cry and the father’s role in breastfeeding.
